FAQs
Shared
Shared shuttle means you’re booking a seat on a vehicle, and will likely be sharing with others. As such, this is generally the cheaper option. Journey times will usually take longer with a shared shuttle, and pick-up times are usually determined by the transfer company.
Shared shuttles are perfect for those on a budget and don’t mind sharing their ride with other travellers.
Private
A private transfer is your own private vehicle, offering a faster journey and flexible pick-up times.
Travel in style in a private vehicle. We have three types of private transfers available on Jayride.com; Ride-share, Private Car, and Luxury Vehicles.
Ride-share
Jayride.com offers transfers through our ride-share partners. This is the most affordable private transfer option.
Airport pickups will require a phone call or smart phone to meet your driver at a designated pickup point which might be a short walk from the terminal. When going to the airport you will receive a pickup time via email within 7 days of your pick-up.
Private Transfer
If you’d prefer your own vehicle to go straight to where you need to be with a registered driver – you’re travelling with family, in a group, or on business for example – then a private transfer might be the best option for you. Meet your driver at a pre-decided meeting spot, pre-book children’s seats or book for extra luggage with a private transfer.
Want a Meet and Greet? Look for the green Meet and Greet icon on the transfer company’s profile. Not all private transfers offer meet and greet, so be sure to double check at the time of booking that your selected transfer company offers Meet and Greet.

Personally, I know by the schedule what time the bus is due. By observation, I know the earliest it’s even been and the latest it’s even been. I leave the house with enough time to get to the bus stop at least 5 minutes before the earliest I expect the bus.
So usually, I wait no more than about 15 minutes.
Only once did the bus not arrive. (I later found out that it had mechanical problems.) I simply waited for the next bus, which was a half hour later. But if it had not arrived by about 10 minutes after the latest it was due, I would have gone home.
So if you time if right, you shouldn’t ever have to wait more than 20 minutes. You could time it to wait no more than maybe 10 minutes, but I prefer to leave a margin in case the bus is earlier than it ever has been, which happens occasionally.
But then, everyone has their own system. Whatever your system, I recommend that you carry a schedule with you when you ride the bus.
In my opinion, the worse system of all is to just leave the house and have no clue when the bus is due at the stop. In this case, you sometimes have to wait a very long time.
